Many moms new moms and moms of toddlers and young children question their identity after children. They often wonder how they can get back to themselves and their lives after becoming a mother. They often endure pressure from society to be a vessel to their childrens needs often neglecting her own. sometimes it can feel that everything centers around this new role and your sense of self suffers in the process. Leading some to postnatal anxiety, depression or anxiety.
I can say that i personally struggled with this crisis of self, the struggle of my needs vs. the needs of others. And it was exhausting. I learned quickly the need for self care, patience and to go easy on myself. (sometimes we can be our worst enemy!) I also found an incredible feeling when I was productive on projects that I was passionate about – cooking, gardening, diy. In the 4 years I’ve been a parent I’ve really learned to embrace domestic life. It was so hard because I felt like I had to be working toward a lofty, important career goal and there are many nights I wake up in a panic about what I’m going to do next to further my professional future.
I started designing websites in 2000 using HTML and graphic design programs to create functional and beautiful websites. I’ve worked with large company and created timeless websites. Some of which remained as landing pages for years after I had created them. Things change fast online so that was a big compliment to keep seeing my designs year after year.
